how to upgrade galaxy fit to android 2.3.6?

i have my samsung galaxy fit running on android version 2.3.4 ..can anybody tell me how to upgrade it to further versions?? is it possible by rooting the phone?

wow! now my galaxy fit is running on android 2.3.6!!! no root no flashing of new ROM!!!!!!!

just connect your fit to pc while running samsung kies. its automatically offered from samsung to upgrade the firmware (internet connection is needed). just follow the instruction. i already did....but I thinks its minor improvement from 2.3.4 to 2.3.6...

For me the version 2.3.4 is working better than 2.3.6.
Now I have problem with connection, Screen is flashing, battery drains.
