Accessories How-To Windshield Mount **CHEAP**

I got both the windshield and the vent mount from that seller. 10 minutes with the heat gun and I have a great fit. The vent mount is only so-so but I half expected that. The clips don't have much retention on them so if I hit a big bump it flops out of place. Im trying to figure out a way to make it hold better. The suction cup however.....awesome! Thanks!

I prefer using the Seidio holster, but that's probably closer to $25 and not sure it's even shipping yet. That would be 3 point support, much more stable.

Just an addendum.. don't make it too tight when you adjust it.

I think I made our second one a bit too tight, and we hit a freeze the other morning. My wife went to put her phone in my van dock, and it snapped in two.

I've already ordered a replacement one though... ;)

bummer.. we havent seen a freeze here yet, just 22 inches of rain a week or so ago. Hope there isnt a hidden flaw in the works. Both of my mounts are working out just fine. As a reply to the guy who wondered about wear and tear on the Bodyglove case,, No problem at all.

This technique works really well. I just tried it on two of our cars and it creates a very solid mount. Thanks for the idea.

Movie Maker is still available free; you have to download it for Win 7 from the Microsoft site.

It's working out great guys. I shot some video a couple nights ago and then noticed that Windows 7 doesnt come with Movie Maker. Each video is close to a gig and I didnt want to upload anything until i edited out the dull stuff.

Also, I ordered two more mounts from a Hong Kong seller to put in put in the other Z car and the pickup. Figured spending $1 each and waiting was OK now that I have one modified and Im happy with it.
