How to Wipe out and restart from scratch?

VZ had to change my phone # and when they did it, it f'ed up the phone... not only did it reset but it wen to "factory default" but did not delete everything and start her from scrach... the phone says it has 2 phone #s and the apps that try and sync do not work.

Seeing as though I just got this DX 2 days ago, I dont have anything saved on it... so I want to wipe it out and start from scratch just like the first day I got it.

How do I do this on the DX?

Thanks all!

Take it back to Verizon and have them fix it for you.

You can also try to do a factory reset on the phone to see if this clears things up.

But I also agree with GMB... Verizon F'd it up so Verizon should fix it...

Rick, thats what i was looking for... thanks!

people here loooooove suggesting "take it back to the store" and "take it back to verizon." you guys do realize folks will always get better info (as far as device questions) on a dedicated forum than they will in a store, right? let me assure you guys that the knowledge here is FAR broader here than in a verizon store. while they have 50+ models they need to know about, we have one. so, before we waste someones valuable time sending them back to the store (especially for something as simple as a factory reset) we should actually try to answer their question. of course, this is just my opinion. but thank you to ricksievers for answering the question and saving the OP a trip to the verizon store to do a hard reset.
not everything is "verizon's fault." sounds to me like they changed his phone number, and the device screwed up. changing the number doesnt involve much more than doing a number change in their POS system, and then doing a *228, 1.
i just think it's funny when someone asks "how to i wipe my phone?" and the answer he gets is "take it back to verizon," when the simple answer is to literally tap 4 buttons.
