How's your TB's reception?

I am trying to get an idea if HTC has finally fought up with Motorola on reception quality...my wife's x gets much better reception than my dinc...and it see Ms every HTC I have owned has the same issue. Better piece of hardware, better ui, but worse reception.

I dunno... my current HTC is very good on reception. Beats me. I do think the nostalgic Motorola=best reception days are long gone. Long gone. Possibly with the StarTack.

I disagree from mine and many others experience. Many people I know have reception issues with their incredibles. specifically in fringe areas. I really hope the bolt has better reception

The one thing I liked more about my og Droid over the dinc was reception, the incredible sucks when compared to my og Droid in reception but the rest was just so much better.

Lol...well if the Atrix is an example on how the new Moto devices reception is, Moto will be in BIG trouble! And I mean big, the reception and ability to hold a signal is terrible on the Atrix!

Hopefully HTC got it right this time!

I will throw the blame at ATT before Moto, haha.

Hope the reception is excellent on this phone. I am one of those 5-10 people in the world who won't consider the phone if it suffers from call quality problems, irrespective of how good it is otherwise

I have an HTC TB and Ive notice that the reception compared to my wifes droid x in the same area is horrible...I rarely ever have more then 2 bars on my TB and the wife has full bars 95% of the time...I even have a network extender at home and the signal is always jumping around..never have a solid signal for more then a few seconds...has anyone else experienced this issue in there area.. I live in northeast ohio south of cleveland. Not in a 4g area where i live but am in 3g and sometime the internet on the phone just drops off completely then comes back...Verizon sent me new phone and new sim card and that didnt solve the issue so i think it is the area myself...They have been having issues in this area since they got 3G. I think verizon should of worked out all there bugs and issues before promoting there 4G network as the largest out there and letting us TB owners be ginnie pigs for there new phone...$600 for a cell phone not to work 100% is crazy if you ask me...Thiking about going back to the droid X i have and waiting for them to work out the kinks.

If you are trying to get an idea that was implanted via a dream within a dream within a dream of another dream, that's inception, not reception....just saying....

I got to disagree with this, Sean :P

No issue with reception on my Atrix on Rogers :) People think I'm calling from a landline, they are unable to hear much of the background noise. No issues with drop calls.

With my Nexus One (HTC built), call quality was a mixed bag. I felt that HTC kind of cheap out on the reception/speakers hardware, which is sad, since I love HTC build quality.

I think its been determined that the signal bars shown on the screen are not an accurate indicator of signal strength on HTC devices. My old HTC Eris would usually show 1 or 2 bars when not in a call, but would jump to 4 when a call was placed. Haven't noticed on the TB because I guess I just got used to not caring. Plus I am on Verizon and in a major city so I don't think I've ever dropped a call or had bad reception! Say what you will about Verizon's costs or practices, but they have the best coverage of any provider hands down. Oh, and I get great reception on this phone!

I'll toss my input in as well... I'm currently on a TB, and it's on par here at my house with reception, with any other phone I've seen that's actually picked up a signal inside. I always have a handful of phones of various makes kicking around, and while this is my first HTC, I was a little concerned that it might not get that intermittent signal inside for my txting windows lol. So far, no issues at all with reception, anywhere from home, to traveling.
