Help Howto remove carrier text?

[MAcheezy770]

Is it possible to remove or edit my metropcs banner thats in my notifications bar and screenlock?

I do not believe it is. That is the indicator of what network you are connect to. For example, when you are roaming it will probably say Travel Talk indicating that you are not on a Metro owned network.

It is possible however can not be any longer than 14 characters. Ill look up the thread to link when I get home from work. I think it maybe in the CM7 beta thread somewhere

There is a file in the framework apk that must be edited. You'll have to either use a hex editor or decompile the package.

You can put your own text in there but the banner will remain as well
