Hp TouchPad CM9 and CM7 Charging Problem *FIX*

hi if anyone else has the annoying problem of when the battery goes completely dead and wanting to charge it up either by the original charger that came with it or the touchstone dock and it fails to charge.well i have the pad running cyanogen mod9(ics) (with webOS in the boot menu if that helps) but to fix the hole problem heres my simple steps that made it come back on

1.take out the charger or take it off the touchstone that should change the picture from the charge symbol to a white cable.

2.after that hold down both the lock/power button and the volume rocker button either up or down

3.that should then turn the pad off alltogether and nothing should come on at that point put it back on charge without turning it on then the charge symbol should come back on (DONT REMOVE IT FROM NOW!)

4.leave it to charge hopefully it should be an hour before it goes into boot loader from there on many people have diffrent types of boot loaders mine has allsorts such as boot webOS,cyanogen mod and all that stuff but after 5 sec it chooses boot cyanogen mod and its sorted the pad should be back to normal and charging one other note is that once its back to normal and charging dont take it off charge straight away cos it will just cut off again until its half way or 100% charged

hope this helped :)

Hi
I was wondering if there was anyone could help with my dead touchpad (nothing comes on no lights, battery or hp signs nothing just a black screen. i installed android 4.0 battery ran out, tried everything, all the button pushing, different chargers, comp usb, touchstone, nothing works, left it on charge with each charger for 4days each time. Have now took it to bits before ordering a battery (needed to know if I could actually replace it myself first) now i am wondering if there is any way i can try charging the battery outside the device. I live in the uk and hp are a waste of time so please help if you can thanks in advance.

Ok.. so i tried twisting the plug.. it did twist and clicked in different position.. but it still doesnt charge the touchpad at all with the original charger..
I entered your info with the touchpad on the touchstone.. the total came to 1400.. not 2000.. and I always center the pad and take it out of case to charge..
We do not abuse are pads and dont get heavy use either..but its hard when they take forever to charge even 1/2 way..

1400 is the correct response when charging on the TouchStone.

My touchpad stopped charging a while ago and i kinda just gave up on it. i recently decided to try it again. it charges enough to turn on but turns off after minutes of being on and doesn't charge til its off. what can i do?

patches, first thing I would do is attempt to charge using a different charger and micro USB cable. I think the charger should be rated for 2000mA.

consider trying a touchstone wireless charger???
