Help HP TOUCHPAD:rooting+voiding warranty?

Hi
if i root my hp touchpad to android will it totally void my warranty with HP?
is there a way of rooting to android where i can go back to hp webos easily and i would still have the warranty?

and i dont really understand the process off dual boot?

Rooting is just enabling the installation of patches or software = preware on webOS. Probably doesn't void your warranty. Easily undone.

Installing CyanogenMod (CM7.1 aka a custom Gingerbread rom)... iffy, but is a chance you take. It IS reversible tho. Technically, if you have a problem unrelated to the OS installed, like a broken power or volume button shouldn't void your warranty no matter what OS is installed.

Dual boot means a menu appears when your TP is started or rebooted giving you options for which OS to boot into. If you don't change it, after 5 seconds it boots into CM7 by default but you can use the volume up/dn buttons to change to webOS or recovery options.

Here's a video with a brief glance of the boot menu (blue text after the HP logo just before he turns it 90 degrees): Dual Booting Android and WebOS on HP Touchpad - YouTube

Most people don't use webOS after installing CM7. :D

FWIW, I purchased a B&N Nook Color about a year ago and installed CM7 on it immediately w/o even booting into the stock OS so what do I care about warranty?
