I feel the same conundrum, but the gizmodo article entitled "Fragile Beauty" sealed it for me. The iPhone 4 is insanely sexy. Its soooo nice to hold in the hand, to feel how solid it is. The screen is unreal. It is unlike any screen I've seen because of the ppi. You really cannot see the pixels...its like they're not there. To quote Stevie, its 'magical'.
But then reality sets in: It's glass. It will break if you drop it. You will, at some point, drop it. (or at least, I would). I don't like to use cases. Then there's the antenna. I live with Good AT&T service, and the ppl who have iP4's that I've seen haven't noticed the problems yet. I'm sure they will soon enough, but they haven't yet. But the fact that it is there, indefensibly there, means its a flawed device. And I just wouldn't buy that.
The Aria is what it is and doesn't try to be more. Its deceiving because it has Sense and Android 2.1, so you think it SHOULD be a super phone, but its the small, mid-level contender. And for that, it does great. It doesn't need to do more, it does what it is supposed to do. I just wish HTC and AT&T would get together and release a high end Sense device, because we all know we want one
