HTC Aria or Iphone4?

Defiantly! It's all stupid. I called Apple Care and they told me " hold the phone differently and you shouldn't have a problem ", they seem to have a problem understanding I'm not even holding my phone when I'm slammed with failed calls. Lol. Oh well. My iphone is going back today- although I'm a little upset about a 10% restocking fee. I don't see why I should have to pay that when the phone is a POS =[

Yeah I dont think you should..I hope Apple gets fried over this.

I feel the same conundrum, but the gizmodo article entitled "Fragile Beauty" sealed it for me. The iPhone 4 is insanely sexy. Its soooo nice to hold in the hand, to feel how solid it is. The screen is unreal. It is unlike any screen I've seen because of the ppi. You really cannot see the pixels...its like they're not there. To quote Stevie, its 'magical'.

But then reality sets in: It's glass. It will break if you drop it. You will, at some point, drop it. (or at least, I would). I don't like to use cases. Then there's the antenna. I live with Good AT&T service, and the ppl who have iP4's that I've seen haven't noticed the problems yet. I'm sure they will soon enough, but they haven't yet. But the fact that it is there, indefensibly there, means its a flawed device. And I just wouldn't buy that.

The Aria is what it is and doesn't try to be more. Its deceiving because it has Sense and Android 2.1, so you think it SHOULD be a super phone, but its the small, mid-level contender. And for that, it does great. It doesn't need to do more, it does what it is supposed to do. I just wish HTC and AT&T would get together and release a high end Sense device, because we all know we want one

Yes. That is how I felt about it. Omgosh it's so sexy. It's got this nice design fits in your hand so great. The camera is beyond great and the screen is just as great. Then it set in. Wow, this phone is actually horrible. It, for me, is just like an ipod touch- but with a camera! :( Like it does everything.. but be a phone.. lol..

Question about the Aria though- will it be able to be updated to 2.2? as I have not heard any confirm/deny on it figured this might be the right place to ask. Also- I was wondering if anyone who has the Aria could tell me if the reception seems decent on it? Someone was telling me that the reception was pretty horrible along with slow wifi. Thanks ahead of time <3

Hahaha! Thankfully- I got my phone taken back to ATT and while they told me over the phone that I would be unable to get the restocking fee waived, the guy who helped me was kind enough to help me out and waived the restocking fee. Yayyy. So far- I love the aria [= Defiantly a switch I would do over again.

I think this one, if not for the iFail-4-times-harder's major antennae/radio problem, I might actually say give it a recommendation to try over the Aria. AT&T locked down the crap out of the backflip, I can only imaging what they did to the aria.

basically installing 3rd party apps is blocked... and there is a 3 min workaround for that. teathering apps are blocked... less then 1 min to get around that. I'm actually pretty pleased with how clean AT&T left the aria

I used to have an Iphone 3g and i can say ARIA is way better than 3g in terms of performance. In my 3g if i open safari and try to run anything else it was dragging itself. I also played with 3gs and that was not very good at multitasking (jailbroken). When people say Aria is an entry-level or mid-level smartphone i say it is faster and better than 3g and 3gs. Iphone4 on the other hand has more powerful processor but, trust me unless you are a hardcore gamer you will never run into performance issues with ARIA. Yes iphone4 has front and back camera but, this is something you will never be able to use on cellular data. Other than that nothing else is better.

Thanks
