HTC backup pop up

[badkarma3059]

Hey folks,
So I have had my M8 for a few weeks, now out of the blue I keep getting a pop up when I am in my txt messages to back up to HTC backup. No matter how many times a check, "never show me this again" and "no" it keeps coming back.
In backup and reset I have back up set to off, and my accounts are set to sync manually. Am I missing something?

Try force stopping the application. I used to get the "Backing up 0%" in my notification bar, and then it would never go beyond that. Having in mind, I never set it to back up anyhow so I tried the same things you did, but it would come back by itself; that happened the first two days I got the phone. I long pressed on the notification, went app info and forced stopped the application. It never came back again.
