Help Htc black screen

I have a HTC Desire S and recently I changed my background everything was fine and it worked but then when I went to check it later its screen was Black its still had the option to unlock it but the screen wouldnt work everything is black, none of the buttons work and the screen is dead I have tried removing the battery and putting it back in same with the sim card and it doesnt change a thing. I am still recieving messages and calls though :/ Any one know how to help? The phone is fairly new as well only had it for about 5 months.
Please tell me if there is a way to fix it

Hmmm, not sure on a specific fix, I assume you aren't rooted/s-off or anything right? You can try do a factory reset from Hboot.
