HTC Bravo pics appear

Isnt this the phone that was supposed to be out this month? Gotta love all the fanboys and their idiotic claims

Unless of course the Passion was the Nexus One which it appeared to be. When did the N1 launch? Oh yes, January. Funny how that worked out.

No, its not. The Nexus doesnt have Sense genius. What about the Bravo then? The rumors on both were WRONG!

Well then Engadget, who I would trust a hell of alot more then you was also wrong.

Oh and to further show that the facts don't back you here is the HTC Buzz spec page from the leaked 2010 roadmap (make sure to read the special features section).

Here is the spec sheet from the Bravo from the same catalog

Do you notice something missing from the Bravo special features? Well probably not, I mean that would require thought.

Notice something missing in that picture? No? Yeah its not pictured with Sense. Wasn't pictured with Sense in the catalog as well. I wonder what that could mean. It surely couldn't mean that neither the Bravo nor Passion were originally planned to have Sense. Nah that would be too simple to anyone who has paid attention.
Oh and by the by, notice how there have been no mentions of the HTC Passion since the Nexus One came out?

Dude, this thread is about the BRAVO not the PASSION. Go back and look at the first post.

Sorry to break it to you mbell, but that's what it feels like to get OWNED! Now go run away back to your room and have your mommy come tuck you in, cause Mykpfsu just taught you a very valuable lesson, the lesson is: don't mess with Mykpfsu. You'll get owned and embarrassed everytime. It's a proven fact in here. Sorry you had to learn that one the hard way, but maybe next time you'll think twice before messing with, in my opinion, the most knowledgeable member of this entire forum.

Has anybody tried to figure out the model number on this phone? The left side of the screen looks like HT9BRPL00100..... The droid Eris was PB00100 and I was just trying to get people to think what PL00100 would be. There might be another digit behind the messages icon. I tried changing the HT to NB for the FCC site but no luck.

That's a watermark so any digits would be over top the icon. I think you got the entire model number. Interesting detective work. What is the Nexus One model number?

No, you're wrong. It's fact, not rumor, that the Nexus One's profile contains the name Passion. People (yourself included) just need to stop throwing around the misconception that the Passion and the Nexus One are different phones.

Nexus one model number is PB99100, Hero is HERO100, MYTOUCH 3G is SAPP300, HD2 is PB81100, Imagio is WHIT100, and Tattoo is clic100 if this helps anybody try to figure out the model number on the screen in the above pics. Model number is set to a combination of letters and number for a total of 7.

Droid Eris PB00100
HD2 PB81100
Nexus 1 PB99100
? PL00100( from above phone in pics)

Put NM8 (for HTC) in front of the model number to get the FCC ID number.

Can you highlight with mspaint or something exactly where you see this serial in the pic?

wonderbread, take a look at the picture and focus out a little (like one of those 3d stereograms - lol :p). Seriously though, it's a watermark on the picture in this thread. Runs vertical but sideways down the display.

Well not every time. I can't seem to keep RAM and ROM straight. But most times. Thanks.

You sir are correct!

Maybe this means they have submitted the Bravo to the FCC already and it's awaiting approval.

I would say you are correct with the Bravo/Incredible. they're already showing it to developers so I would imagine the info is already at the FCC.

Unless it's coming out in the next ten days or so, I doubt the FCC has it yet.

You shouldn't doubt that. Phones are usually approved well in advance of their release. Eris was at least a month and a half, while others are approved even more in advance.

Can anyone tell if product codes like PB00100 (Eris) and PL00100 (Bravo) are issued by the FCC or by HTC?

I was thinking about the N1. The test info was submitted 12/4/09 and approved 12/14/09. By "coming out" I meant solid info like test reports, names, etc. Not necessarily a release for sale.

oh I see. So you mean when the debutant is presented to society and not when the guy gets her to the back seat. Gotcha.
I think Google and the FCC played some games with that info. Weren't the papers posted like a day after Google gave out the phone to its employees at a party that wasn't a last second thing? I somehow doubt that was purely coincidence.
I just don't think they would show it (Incredible) off to developers if they couldn't use the wireless functions of it. But maybe they did. But I do believe the Incredible is real and is heading to Big Red.

You can key the product code in as pb00100(ERIS) and will show you a grant date of 9/15/2009. I tried PL00100 and nothing. Also you can put in applicant name(htc) and the date range will pull devices that way.
Yeah, i've been lurking the fcc db for months. Do you know if there is a separate search to check for fillings that have been submitted but not yet approved? heh. That link only allows you to search for fillings that have been granted.

Anyone thought about the serial numbers matching up except for the PB/PL and the news that HTC will be releasing a hero/eris family successor? Total speculation. Trying to make the numbers mean something in my head.

That link has on the left side of the screen different options to choose. I noticed under the filing section a choice for ADD/MODIFY GRANT DEFERRAL DATE. They can choose the date they want. Look at the Eris granted 9/15 but didn't show up until 12/4. HTC could modify this date all the time. I think you would need inside information from HTC to get farther on the FCC site.
