Help HTC Calendar widget issue

I prefer the HTC Calendar widget to the Android one, because it is 4x1, so I can fit it on my home screen right below the clock and still have 4 other apps/widgets on that page.

So, I was hugely disappointed to find out that it completely ignores your "Start in" settings in the calendar view, and ALWAYS goes to the month view if you tap the date (or only to the event shown if you tap the event). Why would they set it up so that it ignores your desired "Start in" view settings? That makes zero sense to me, and it pretty well ruins an otherwise nice widget.

I searched around for quite a while this evening, and I found the perfect replacement for the HTC Calendar widget. The Smooth Calendar widget is basically the same thing, but you can make all kinds of great customizations, and most importantly, it respects your "Start in" settings and starts in whatever view you want. Perfect.
