The stock clock APP will not open up. This started about 1-2 weeks ago. I've restarted the phone several times too. Any ideas? Thanks!

hey mek, a couple days ago I uninstalled and reinstalled skype and my clock started working, do you happen to have the market version of skype installed (not the mobile version that came preinstalled)if so try uninstalling that version then reboot and try the clock. let us know if it works.

I didn't have the market Skype, so I installed it, restarted, then un-installed it, and restarted...still no clock app!

Anyone else?

If you can get into recovery menu then clearing Dalvik Cache does the trick. Phone will be starting up for a while after that, but then clock/alarm works fine.

So sad. I really liked the analog clock with the native clock widget because the analog display is huge so I can easily read it, and it was simply convenient to tap the display to reset alarms and such. The clock app is greyed out in the app list but the widget isn't when it's active. I still have the widget on my home screen but the timer, alarm, and other options are gone, gone, gone. I relied on the alarm--until I overslept because it didn't go off. I'm not willing to root, do a factory reset, and there's a limit to how many unrelated apps I'm willing to install, uninstall, or reinstall. I actually think this may have started when I updated to 2.3.4, but can't be sure. Meanwhile, I've been using the Calendar alarm on my old Palm Centro as my alarm clock.

I just downloaded Alarm Clock Extreme and depending on whether it works tomorrow morning, am impressed with the features. This won't get me hatin' on the DINC2, but too bad the better app doesn't work. I'll check it after updates but my hopes aren't high.
