The best way is to be sure they're Google contacts and just sync once your new phone is activated.
Google/Gmail is independent of the phone, and is basically sitting there with all of your info waiting to be synced, either automatically ("autosync" choice on your phone) or manually by clicking the "sync now" button in "accounts and syn" on your phone.

When you first get the phone, you have the option to bluetooth transfer that stuff from your old phone to the inspire.
