Help HTC Desire 3g

Hi I have a HTC desire the problem is i have a 3g sim in it on o2 uk network but i never seem to get 3g it goes to h and e but never 3g i know im in a 3g area as other people with thre phone is on 3g

please help.

Can you confirm you're in a 3g area by using this?

H stands for HSPA which is the best you can currently get, and I'm pretty sure its the same as 3G+ so there's no need to worry

Yes h is 3.5g on o2. You never see 3g because where there is 3g, usually there is h which is better

That great to here and Jon_LTD yes i am in a 3g area i was able to put in my phone and it told me i supports 3g900 what ever that means. thanks a lot guys.

It means your phone supports 3g on a 900 mhz network (uk) but not usa which I think is either 850 or 950
