Help htc desire 610...micro usb to hdmi adaptor

My dad had bought me a micro usb to hdmi adaptor and I've connected it up to my Tele with my usb to charge it and its recognising the hdmi is there but it's not regestering my phone, my dad said it's something to do with screen mirroring but I can't find it any where in my settings or on any other forums or webpages...does anyone know what else I could do???

What adapter? Slimport? It only supports that type I believe. If any. Not mhl. It will also do wireless mirroring.

You can also use a Chromecast and just cast your local content - pictures, videos and *some* web videos.

Chromecast is $35.

It not Miracast, you're not going to mirror your screen without root and running your phone hard - unless you get a Media Link HD.

No question about it, Madbat is right - the Desire 610 has a USB port - not MHL capable.
