Help HTC Desire Andv 2.1 File Transfer Problem

When connected to PC via USB I have a problem with large file transfers.

All is OK normally, but when a file is large (e.g. 700mB) the file transfer in Windows explorer hangs on the PC. Plenty of room on the drive.

Any ideas? . . . thx . . . P
