Help Htc desire broken after firmware upgrade

can anyone help please my htc desire did a firmware upgrade lastnight
eversince the phone will only boot up to the 02 welcome screen and freezes there nothing works not even a hard reset or battery pull

sounds like a boot loop, two options take it back or root it

EDIT how long you left it to boot? Leave it 10 mins and see what happens.....

have you left it a good 10 mins to make sure it dont boot (first boot can take a while) as for rooting it gives your root access to the phone and recovery mode, goggle unrevolked 3
