Help Htc Desire C bricked during s/w update

So now that I've registered, I'm reposting my question in this Forum for ease of reference as well.

Issue:
During s/w update, I unfortunately removed the MicroSD card as I believed the s/w was going to delete the data on it.

Since then, the screen froze with an exclamation sign and the symbol for the MicroSD card. When I removed the battery and powered on, I never got past the white Start-up Screen of "HTC Desire".

I tried Factory Reset, Fastboot and recovery numerous times, but nothing worked.

Presently, my screen shows the following:

Question:
Now I was advised that maybe an RUU in this link (AndroidRUU | The #1 source for Android RUU files) may work but I need to know which of the programs to run for my phone? See options I pasted below:

My phone's original network was O2 in England, if I'm not mistaken. But its unlocked now though.

Have you tried one of the last 2 in that list? They'd be my best guesses from those (the others are using earlier versions of the software, or are specific to a different network, so unlikely to work).

The catch is "originally bought from O2". Unlocking won't change the "customer id", so if it's an O2 handset there's a chance that it might expect an O2-specific RUU, especially if you had to unlock it. But there's nothing to lose by trying: if the RUU terminates with a "cid error" that means it needs an O2 RUU.

Make sure the phone is properly charged, put it in fastboot mode, connect via USB and run the RUU. If the RUU does run, do not disconnect while it is doing its stuff (which is why I said make sure the phone is charged - the phone always runs off the battery even when plugged in, so a good charge before starting is a good precaution).
