Help Htc desire c not turning on

My phone won't turn on. My button works, but when I press it the screen will turn on the in a flash it will turn off. Thankfully, when I plug it in, I can turn it on. I already tried restarting it and nothing happened. Someone please help?! My phone is in perfect condition so I don't know why its doing this

battery discharged, maybe. try turning it on and charging it for 2 hours.
