i got my flexiskin case from mobilefun today, its the correct desire one :)
fits perfectly and seems like it can protect from small bumps alright.
A lil bit expensive tho IMO, when for around the same price you can get case mate cases which are said to be in production. So I may have to use this untill case mate case is released but thats

I have just received a VERY nice looking leather flip case via Expansys
Buy an eXpansys Leather Case for HTC Desire (with Belt Clip), #PT7 - eXpansys UK

Holes in all the right places apart from notification flash (might make the hole myself?)
Rotating Belt clip provided or unscrew the connector and there is a small blanking disk instead.
Flip goes back enough to expose camera lens - keeping it clean otherwise.

It is a little bit difficult to touch the edges of the screen - but not impossible - just not a swipe now - more a positioned finger edge! Maybe given time it will strech a bit?

The only REAL issue I have now is that as soon as I make a phonecall the screen goes blank - as if it is to my ear.

Where is THAT sensor? I can't end a call without pushing the phone up out of the case slightly so the screen comes back...

If I can sort that it is a good/classy looking case.

I ordered one on Monday (I thought that it'd be safe as Jazz said on here that they now had proper desire cases in stock) and have just received it.
The packaging inside says that it's a Nexus One case :(
My phone doesn't arrive until next week, so I can't try it out to see how it fits.

Does your packaging say that its for the desire?

No it didnt.
Mine just came in a plastic bag and not like the packet like yours. Another way to check is to see the back of the case. If it says Nexus One or has a red rectangle then its the Nexus One case, if the back of the case has nothing then its the Desire case.

Thanks for the reply.
There's no red label or mention of N1 on the case itself, but there is an extra hole to the left of the camera (shown in pic attached) that I'm guessing is for the extra noise cancelling mic that the nexus has.

Does your case have that?

Looking at your earlier pics, it looks like I've got a different case to you.

VERY frustrating as it seems that we ordered at the same time.

Yeah that looks different. Email them, they will exchange it.

here you go
I need to clean the screen as u can see lol
hope they are not dust bits stuck inside

That does look good, nice to have the holes all in the right places. Hard to justify the cost though like you say as that's over 5x what I paid for my very similar Nexus one..

I got my FOLEX Screen Protector today (eBay) I was already to hate on it thinking I would easily be able to see it on top of the screen and it would change the feel of the phone. So I was very pleased when it went on without any hassle and you can barely tell it's there.
I say barely because there is roughly a 0.25mm gap down the two sides. It's ever so slight gap you wouldn't notice unless you were told. With the silicone case on it's not even visible.
Feel of the phone is no different at all.

Well I persevered a bit more, then looked online and could see the cut out is actually wrong. Anything I did to 'mod' it would be futile, so I contacted the company by phone and within 10 minutes I had a prepaid label to print with returns info for a full refund by email.

So wasted time, but it wasn't the personal fault of the guy on the phone... who now expects many more of these long awaited items to be winging their way back soon. :(

Hi - bought Invisible shield for HTC desire, complete protection version (i.e. not just screen cover) - does anyone find that the edges of the shield bits get really dirty? Its also V difficult to put on without getting at least one bit of dust under it, annoying!!

Thanks for the reply.

Just received the exact same case as yours. I have emailed mobilefun to see if i can get a replacement.

I'm surprised mobilefun have continued sending out the wrong cases as they are aware of the mistake.
I know they've got to shift the stock now but each replacement is going to hammer the profits from the ones who don't return them. I would be surprised if anyone DOESN'T return a

I find it quite revealing that Jazz hasn't replied to this thread in over a week when he announced they would be getting new cases a week ago and would put up some pics etc!

I'm getting a fair few PMs and emails, so have taken my eye off the ball when it comes to all the threads. My bad.

Anybody still having issues feel free to email (jasvinder.singh@mobilefun.co.uk) with the issue and orderID.

Sorry guys - I'll try to keep an eye on this thread.

I guess the email and PM burden would ease off if you sent out the correct cases in the first place!

I've decided I'm not buying anything else yet from an online retailer regarding Desire products as most of them don't seem to be for the Desire specifically. Ok there is the odd one or 2 but it seems to be luck of the draw as to what you actually receive. Online retailers need to upload proper photos showing that all the holes etc line up correctly and then of course make sure they send the right thing out!

To be fair, Jazz replied to my PM quickly and has resolved the issue for me.
I firmly believe it is when things go wrong that you find out what a company is really like.
I'd happily order from MobileFun again.

Random note: in trying to view the last page of this thread, I get the notice...

Prefetching is not allowed due to the various privacy issues that arise.

Hm.

Has anyone tried the Proporta or PDair leather cases?
As I want to not use a screen protector I'm hoping one of these will do.
Has to be functional too of course.

Thanks,

Shofar

Do you mind me asking why you don't want to use a screen protector?

If you're worried about screen responsiveness, then you needn't. I have the worst screen protector in the entire world (I got about 30 for about 2.5p from a German company), and the screen is just as responsive and snappy.

I've had a Palm since Palm III. Used a protector until I had to replace my screen on T5. Since then I've tried it without and at least on the Palm it's better. I keep it in a Dela Farina? case and it has never been scratched. It's still working but I'm thinking it could go any time now.

Ah okay, well on the Desire I don't think you'll have any such problems, but I guess it's whatever works for you. I had a good experience with a PDair case for my previous phone, the Samsung Omnia, that was about 15 quid and stood the test of time. (Shame the Omnia itself wasn't up to much! Think I rushed into that renewal in retrospect)

I have this one for my Nexus (fits the Desire as well):

Nexus/Desire Suede Jacket - Dual Mode - IP-Telefoni - Wisper Shop

It small, sleek and even has a small pocket for my bussiness / credit cards and drivers license. The inside works as a "cleaning-cloth" when you pull the phone in and out a number of times.

Nice, now to find a UK seller.

I really would like to replace my wallet with a phone case that also adds some room for a card and cash.
