As about screen protectors, I think it's a must! Desire has a plastic display front which can be scratched easily. Not sure which ones are good/bad but I guess anything is fine as long as it does the job of protecting the screen.
I am firmly of the opinion that screen protectors are a waste of time. Had my desire for 2 weeks now, keep it in my pocket, no scratches. Glass is pretty tough you know.
I'd rather get full benefit from the screen whilst it's new than keep it in pristine condition for 2-3 years, underneath a less than perfect protector.
Even my old p990i survived without protection, and that has a plastic face to the screen.

I use a ZAGG on everything.

Unlike others, I find the touchscreen on the Desire a little nervous, so the Zagg desensitises this to a nice degree.

I haven't ever ripped chunks out of the screen on any of my devices. I've never had a major car accident, but I still use the seat belt and have insurance.

I have the Zagg for those 'oh shite' moments.

Has anybody purchased a case with the intention of keeping dust out of the phone? Eg. To avoid getting dust behind the screen? Can dust get behind the screen? Or is the screen sealed down making this impossible?

What can be purchased to stop dust getting into the phone and behind the screen, if anything?

The dust behind the screen of my two Desires has given me major OCD! :D

Whilst I take your point, there is nothing worse than seeing a huge scratch down the screen of your

Just got my Lime green Epik Case and Tangerine Mofi pouch for my Desire today both off ebay. I got these sickly sweet colors becasue I think it will be easyer to find when I put the thing down plus lime green and tangerine is a good cure for a wrong number.

Both worth it in my opinion the Mofi pouch was

I use the HD2 leather pouch and added a couple of stitches to it for a snug fit.....looks original and also just bought a universal Nokia phone holder that works perfectly with the Desire. Its really good build quality and impressed by it.

My case arrived this morning. It's the silicone flexishield hydro gel case and it looks and feels good.

How good is the screen protector which comes with it? If it's rubbish and has an adverse affect on the phone I may leave it off and purchase a better alternative.

Does it grip ok? id be worred it would slide out with the vibration of the car as it doesnt seem to have a lower ledge

Grips fine. The clamps are spring loaded and are released by a button on the side.....this opens then up, you put the phone in and then slide the clamp upto the phone.

The rubber grips on the clamps are quite soft and grip the phone very well and so does the windscreen mount.

Mike_M!

I guess that Desire all beautifully dressed up in protective gel cover would easily fit in this HTC HD2 leather case?

Thank you for kind informations,

Have fun all,

No it wont. It has been previously tested and the extra covering on the Desire will make too much of a tight fit in the HD2 case.

hi all this is my first post
i have had my htc desire for about three weeks now and love it
so on the subject of cases, all you people looking for a case to perfectly fit your desire,I got my case from amazon.co.uk
it is a black silicone case and the fit is bang on cost

Just dropped my desire on a hard floor screen side down. Got to say thank god I put a silicone case on it last week because it saved it.

hmmmm i'm not sure about these snap on cases, don't look like they'll provide much protection if dropped. look pretty good though.

Just got my case-mate barely there case, nice looking case but has sharp edges on the bottom of it, which feels uncomfortable on my little finger :-\ not a patch on the cozip case I had on my iphone (very similar case) cozip was cheaper too.

Just Received my Pdair Luxury Silicone Case (Black). I have to say it is far superior to the gel smoke case I had on it previously. The cut outs are very precise and it is very thin, and feels brilliant in the hand. It also overlaps right to the edge of the screen at the top and the sides, making my screen protector near invisible now, and stopping it from coming up at the edges which it had started to do slightly on one top corner.

Has anybody tried the Pdair aluminium case???They look really nice but i was wondering about the thickness and if it adds too much bulk to the handset???

I got the Crystal Case for my Desire from Mobilefun. Don't bother - 2 weeks later it's broken. The front and back sections no longer click together due to thin plastic bits breaking. It's cheap for a reason! Now searching for another case.

My silicone skin is starting to lose its grip around my phone, so I think I will invest in a slightly more expensive one this time around. Still glad I got one as I accidentally sort of threw my desire at a door yesterday but thanks to the case no damage.

Just placed an order yesterday for one of these along with the car holder, gonna be a week or so before I can give a review as I ordered it from the US site.

i have the pd air aluminium case in silver, not much bigger than some silicone cases, neoprene padding inside, weighs virtually nothing but super strong, good fit, hinge adds a bit to the width but not excessively so, provides excellent protection and does not impede the use of the screen or buttons in anyway, comes in a fancy cloth covered box and free leather keyring, and a screw in belt clip, i would not dare use this however, because if the case accidently opened, bye bye phone.
bought mine direct from pd air, cheaper than uk sellers and with free shipping.
if anyone has a habit of placing their phone down on gritty or dusty surfaces, then this case is perfect.
