lol :) I accept all donations and gifts, not blame though ;)

The screen protector isn't the best with the case, but the case is very good. Took me a couple of minutes to figure out you had to pop it into two pieces and snap it round the phone rather than sliding the phone in though, there's a free tip! :D

Oh I didn't realise it was going to be like that.. Is it quite bulky then? It didn't look it in the pics.

I have a good screen protector on already anyway :D

No it's not bulky at all, I just assumed you could slide it into the case... my long suffering girlfriend got tired of me trying it after 5 mins and took the logical approach and noticed the seam and split it in two and fitted it in less than 20 seconds of looking at it!

It's a very snug fit, adds maybe 2mm or so to the size.

This is the Casemate Tough/Hybrid case for the desire..

these are just product pics and the case is not for sale yet, but I wonder why they arent on their official page...

this one looks good. but i wished thrs protection for the screen also, with some sliding or flap like mechanism with the same black material. its more usefull while put inside pant pockets. are thr any such cases for the desire, other than those bulky leather cases. thanks

How'd you get on with it (if it's arrived) ?

I bought the same as you Tunga (but from Amazon, at much the same price) and concur with all your comments. The only slight annoyance is if dragging icons to another screen, you have to move them right to the edge of the screen and the case makes that slightly more difficult. I'm still using it inside another belt clip type case when I go out, but it's a nice cheap addition to give it a bit of protection generally.

Drag widget, slide other thumb over optical tracker, tada :P .

I've always done it this way anyway, much less fiddly than dragging to the edge of the screen and waiting for it to scroll.

Just got my boxwave hard case for my desire.

I was waiting for the casemate tough case or the otterbox case to relese but this is just too long and I wanted to protect my precious, I have it for 3 days and I already dropped it once some of the rubber paint in the back is gone :(

But anyways this is a very good looking case, not bulky, in fact i can hold it much better and unlike other 2 parts snap cases this one sits very tight and it is really hard to open once you install it.

Would you mind sharing some pics with the case on? :)

BAD NEWS!! DO NOT BUY THIS CASE!!

I owned it for no more than a week, and it started to fall appart. Being a two-piece case, it has little grips in each of the corner and one in each side of the device. The case itself is made of a transparent plastic with a rubber coating. But the problem is that this case wraps the phone so tight that the locking parts breaks and it wont hold your phone anymore. I had to apply crazy glue in the four corners to prevent it to fall apart.

It does look ugly but It must hold for now until the casemate of ottherbox case is released.

This is the part where the clip goes. the plastic piece just cracked.. you can see the superglue stain :D

Ok, I received my Case Mate gelli and Barely there cases today. First impressions are that they are very good.

I ordered the Chrome version of the Barely There case and the colour is in-between chrome and black nickel, which I like.

Barely There case:

PROS:
1. Nice colour, better than pure Silver Chrome
2. Fits very well, looks part of the phone
3. Easy to fit
4. It seems to have a very good anti scratch coating and feels quite tough considering how thin it is.

CONS:
1. Finger prints may be a problem, but a quick wipe on your shirt and there gone :)
2. Not easy to remove, until you get the nack

Gelli case:

PROS:
1. Nice colour and the circles don't look too bad although slightly girly, the Red one helps take the girlyness away slightly.
2. Easy to put on and remove.
3. Feels nice and more like a jelly than hard rubber, unlike the ebay ones I have.

CONS:
1. My case has a slight imperfection on the one edge where a tiny piece of Black plastic has got into the red plastic which cannot be removed. Although I'm not the fussiest so I'll live with it and I doubt the perfection will be on all cases.

2. The cutaway for the charging hole at the bottom is not quite big enough and does not allow the original HTC cable to plug in properly. It does plug in but its not a very good fit, I will probably cut some plastic away from the USB connector as I will probably ruin the case trying to adjust that instead! I may email Casemate about this as its a fairly major problem.

Has anyone found a case that doesn't use a magnetic clasp? I had one for my old Magic and it messed up the compass badly. I desperately want one that comes with a popper and I don't want to wreck my Desire!

Anyone with a case that has a magnet, does you compass still work as it should?

Anyone come across a case similar to this 1, its a leather case and has a pull system where you pull teh strap and the phone comes up
