Just ordered one of these: Black Silicone Phone Case Cover for HTC Desire on eBay (end time 23-Jun-10 22:33:18 BST)

Normally I like my things to be in bright colours (for example my ipod is in a white/orange 'book style' leather case) but all the ones I can find for the Desire look really tacky. I contemplated with this but wasn't too sure.

Guess I should grow up sooner or later :p

Hopefully it'll arrive the same day/before my Desire on Thursday. Most of the feedback says speedy delivery.

Thanks for the report. Let us know how the Noreve case compares.

I got the Noreve case after a delay and it was worth the wait. Really snug fit, slimmer than Proporta, and opens without covering camera, wider colour range than Proporta.

Only downside I've experienced is that the steel backing plate(or screws) affect the compass when navigating so aluminium would be an improvement. Just have to remove from cover for compass function for now.

Best leather one on the market just now.

I also bought a waterproof case from aquapac and had the guts to test on full submersion and was pleased to say it floats and didn't leak. Handy for outdoor and offshore navigation.

Had a look at some of these cases and they look terrible. I finally narrowed it down a took a punt.

This one fits nicely and looks professional.

The pull-up works a teat. For

I had used the rubber hard case for a few weeks BUT its crap - started to crumbled even though it never fell or made any significant contact with anything and now it has pretty much came apart - useless

I am looking for a new case now

I use a GREEN HYBRID HARD PROTECTION CASE COVER FOR HTC DESIRE

GREEN HYBRID HARD PROTECTION CASE COVER FOR HTC DESIRE: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Its very good, feels good in the hand, has a slight rubber texture but is hard plastic,
it clips together well and fits very closely so very little room for movement or dirt.
It has a slight lip on the front so I dont worry too much about putting it face down, and I use a screen protector as well for added peace of mind.

Just ordered a Krusel Leather case from Mobile Fun. It says its due to be discontinued and is temporarily out of stock.

Dunno what my chances of getting it are but I had one for an old Nokia years ago and I loved the modular mounting system. If it ever arrives I will get the car, bike and belt mounts for it.

I recently tried some ebay covers from

a Hong Kong dealer.

Got a couple of

these hard cases. Fit perfectly. 2 parts, front and back, click together. A bit fiddly to take off, and easy to break the clips if ur taking it off alot. But the feel is excellent, a smooth hardened silicone/PVC feel. and it looks great.

Also got a couple of
1
these soft rubber cases from the same dealer. Single piece gel silicone, stretches over the corners. Feels far more rubbery, would probably take a few drops without and marks. No hole for power or volume buttons, just slightly thinner runner there. Looks cheap and a bit crappy, prefer the hard cases myself

I've ordered the Desire PO S520 Case, will give my impressions in about 2 weeks when it's arrived. Have to import from expansys

I just got a Brando silicone case and an Ultraclear screen protector. I'm quite pleased with both of them.

The screen protector is very good: it's thin, it has a good feel, and it was very easy to put on - got it right the first time, no problems. It is, however, a few mm short of the Desire's screen width - not a lot, but it is noticeable if you align it all the way to one side. Once the phone was in the case, though, it was no longer noticeable.

The case is looser than I thought it would be (I honestly thought that it would be a tight fit). This makes it very easy to put on and pull out. And strangely enough, once the phone is in, it doesn't feel loose.

I would also dare say that the black one looks better than the blue one they picture on the site. It's completely opaque (it has beveled indicators where the buttons are - not great, but passable) and it looks good on the phone.
