case seems ok - not as tough as the case mate one - but it simply does not fit, both sides from the case do not meet each other pretty much all the way around, also the power switch is partially covered, guess the Nexus one is definately NOT the exact same shape as the HTC desire so dont be fooled by tight fitting cases for both phones, they wont work

damn! just waiting to hear back from tuff luv (i-nique) to see what they say...

It's a tight fit, protects the corners great incase you drop it, I had to mutilate a cheap Nexus 1 screen protector to save my screen until the ready fit ones arrive from fleabay. So far so good, it's a lil bit balmy so it does not slip, putting it on is top first then use a hairdryer to warm up the bottom part, so it's a bit more supple and slips on.

Doesn't hinder the speakers, ear or ring, doesn't mess with the mic either, earphones slipp on no problem.

Not bad for all of 1 Pound Fifty, plus I got a N1 screen protector a USB line and a MicroSD adapter FOC.

I got it from HK Yahoo.

I want a protective case that stays on and has built in port protection -- I think moisture is one of the top reasons for phones "dying". Otterbox already makes several cases for 6 different HTCs, so they are probably our best hope. HTC Cases // OtterBox.com

They answered my e-mail in a couple of hours:
"We do not have any information if a case will be made at this time for that device, but it is something that has been requested a lot."

I wonder what could influence their decision?

Have done an awful lot of research over the last few days re cases etc, particularly on your favourite auction site.

Those CaseMate cases look pretty cool, it's a shame they have none planned yet. On their product forum it has the most votes yet the Incredible is getting in before it, waste of time having the voting section if you ask me.
 
I don't get it, why aren't one of these case\accessory companies on the case ?

There's thousands of Desire's out there now and no decent cases available.

It really hacks me off that this stuff is not out there, and I blame HTC. They've had the spec and dimensions of this phone for ages before it was released, and there is no reason in the world that they couldn't already have something to market. At the VERY VERY VERY least they should have issued screen protecters with the phone. Amoled screen and they leave you in the lurch with nothing to protect it - that's just plain wrong.

I genuinely believe the below is the best holder for the Desire, it rotates, it's well made and sticks very well.

Isn't this a Nexus One holder? It says on that page:

The Car Pack holder lets you store your HTC Desire in your car in a number of different ways. The holder is designed so that it can be adjusted to suit you in the car. There are 3 main joints which allow you to turn the Nexus One into a position most comfortable for you.

To be honest I'm a bit wary of buying anything at the moment that says its for the Desire, because all the products seem to be for the Nexus One and they are not the same. It might not make a huge difference on some accessories but if I'm going to trust something to hold my phone in the car then I would want to make sure it was a perfect fit. My Desire case I bought from there was a Nexus One and not the best fit.
 
Hi, Anyone ordered the BestSkinsEver screen protector yet?
I have used them for 2 Creative mp3 players and an ipod touch and been very pleased with them.
They have been on their website for a while but just got an email to say they are available now.

They are in the US but no problem shipping to the UK.
I am still waiting for my Desire to arrive but ordered some screen protectors from ebay in advance whilst I decide whether to go for the BSE skin again.

tempting! however it does depend on the charger thats included. does it have the same output as the desire mains charger? if the charger has a decent output then i could be sold! looking forward to seeing the desire silicone cases monday too. will the desire fit in the holder in the silicone case?

What do you people say about these two cases? I can't decide between....but the Bugatti looks good, i'm just not sure about the material (Neopren) - do you think it's good protection and worth of that money?
