HTC Desire Downloaded Attachment

Hi all! I have an HTC Desire. I have downloaded a couple of attachments from my email and can successfully view them. However, even though they are "saved" (I know because when I exit the attached document, a screen pop-up says "saved), I don't know where they are saved to. How do I search for these supposed "saved"/downloaded attachments? Where would they be? Thanks!

Open you email/gmail client (whichever you used to download the attachment) and see where your attachment storage is saved to (usually SD Card).

Then, go to your SD card (or internal, with a file manager) and look for a folder called "download." It should be in there.

Thanks! But I don't know how to see where my attachment storage is saved to (i was using through Yahoo! Email app if that has any significance). Also, how do I go to/access my SD card or internal memory? I don't even know what a file manager is with the internal memory. Can you please explain all this and how to use it? Bear with me, I am an obvious newbie. Thank you so much for your help and patience!

Not a problem. You know the "My Computer" shortcut on Windows that lets you view all of the file folders? That's a file manager. I was shocked to see that Android didn't have one by default, coming from Windows Mobile.

Go to the Android Market and look for Astro File Manager or ES File Explorer. Astro seems to be the popular choice, but I prefer ES.
