Help HTC desire email help

i use a htc desire for business , but recently broke the screen so im taking it into get fixed but need to hide my email from the shop due to important accounts etc being on my email , is there a way to just hide email ? or pasword protect it ? or will I need to delete the email account and start again when I get the phone back ?

What if you tried a general application lock? I have a sms one, I'm sure there's a few about on the market.
