Help htc Desire facebook sync not working ?

I've had my HTC Desire for a few days, and for all of this time Friend Stream hasn't worked with Facebook - it simply says 'This service is not available'. I'm guessing HTC/Facebook are working on this problem, as has been mentioned above?
 
the "fix" posted hasnt fixed mine at all :S ... i already had a work place in there... deleted it and re added it to give myself a workplace...

rebooted phone... still not working.
 
Got up this morning and all seems to be working! Don't know what happened. Both friend stream and people are now linked like they were before. hope everyone else gets sorted. I've got to sat htc were pretty good about getting bk to me tho. I used their 'contact us' form and they replied within minutes even tho they couldn't do anything to help. Back to loving my desire now. good luck everyone!
 
Mine is working this morning too! Agree with you about HTC. They were very quick. a lot of people were posting up that htc are awful and dont care. but i would rather be told the truth... that they weren't too sure what had happened than be fobbed off like most companies do.
 
The simplest manual fix for this is to do the following...
click on people, then click on the globe which is online directory ,click on facebook, then log out. Then all you have to do is sign back on and problem solved temporarily.

OK had an SD Card malfunction on my Desire and lost almost everything....thank god for chkdsk and backups! Retrieved it but had no sync with Facebook - however deleting your Facebook account and adding it again worked a treat.
