Help HTC Desire G7 Power Button

Having replaced the LCD on my handset I can't seem to get the power button to fit properly. Can somebody please answer the following: does the power button float or is it fixed into position, when fitting the flex is the power button and flap bent in half or fixed in as a right angle?
