Help HTC Desire HD internet problem

Do you get any error messages, or is do you just get standard "Page cannot be displayed" errors etc?
You could try assigning yourself a static IP, that's known to have helped. Have you also tried changing the wireless channel on the router?

There have been compatability issues between certain routers and the DHD (Although I think it's an Android problem in general) and the symptoms are exactly the same as you are experiencing. When you tried assigning a static IP, was it on the phone or the router itself? If it was the router, try setting an IP on the phone, see if that makes a difference. If not, it might just be the router/phone combo isn't compatible. Do you have another router you can try?

I've limited success connecting to the free wifi hotspots so don't give up hope if you can't get things working.

Anyway you can try a firmware update for your router? That's been known to help.
