Help HTC Desire HD Memory Card Problems

Yesterday I bought new 8gig sd card when I put it on my cellphone,the HTC didn't recognize my new mem card so what can I do to fix it?

Have you tried it in any other phone/card reader? The reason I ask is that it could be a dud... where did you get it from?

Also, have you tried formatting it? As DURX has said, it's really helpful to use a card reader so that you can use your computer to see what's going on.

Hi,I few days ago I dropped my HTC desire hd in water the phone seems to be working fine apart from it not not accepting my sd card.the card is in the phone but it keeps asking me to insert the card,it wont even allow me to take a picture it just keeps asking insert sd card? Please help thanks

Katie, your problem sounds like the water has got into the phone's electronics. The SD card will probably turn out to be ok, but you'd do well to test it using a computer and card reader.
