Did HTC Desire HD/Android upgrade last week? I bought my HTC Desire HD about a month ago. For the first 3 1/2 wks I had issues with it: short battery life, slow performance (e.g., of the calendar), etc. I checked the forum and took various steps to solve these issues. Progress was made, but the phone was still less than ideal. Then, a few days ago, I woke up to a "new", super fast phone. I had taken no steps to improve its performance. Battery now last 1 1/2 to 2 days and the phone is lightning fast. I've noticed that the Android OS has gone from taking up more than 50% battery power to a couple %. What happened to my phone? I like, but it's a mystery...

there has not been any update since mid December when 2.2.1 came out, it may be that your just getting used to the phone and how it works etc
