Help Htc desire hd volume buttons stopped working

Hi all I got a HTC DESIRE HD as a gift 2days ago but the volume buttons stopped working today tried to reset to factory settings but the same the buttons dont work.
Anyone have any idea what to do ?

Sounds like a hardware fault. If it was bought in a shop, not online, take it back and they may replace it there and then.

if they dont give you a replacement (since its only been 2 days and should be swapped directly, rather than sent into repair) boot into the phone normally, and check your software version, and search for an RUU with the same software number, and use it to reload the phone's software.
if that doesnt fix the issue, then let them send it away for repair as thats your last option without voiding the warranty.

The first day it worked but now stopped working.
The phone is bought on shop in Switerland and now im in Kosovo I can't send it it takes 1month or 2 to send and repair.

I have the same fault. If you have access to the android market there is a free app "volume control+" which give s you control via the touch screen. If the fault is just the button, this will solve the problem.
