Help htc desire hd

when i put photos from my htc on to my laptop the photos stay very small ! i dont know if it is my phone or laptop that is at fault or needs a settings change.can anyone advise please ?:o
 
Welcome to the forums.

This issue has cropped up a few times before, HTC Sync is taking the gallery thumbnails across instead of the actual photos by the sounds of things. Just chec to make sure your camera is using the highest settings though and it's not taking pics at 800x480 or something like that.

A few folk have had issues with HTC Sync regardless and they find that MyPhoneExplorer is a pretty good alternative.
 
If you are connecting as a Disk Drive find the DCIM folder and copy it in its entirety to your PC. If in doing so your pictures are still small its an issue with you not having setup the camera properly.
