Help HTC Desire not syncing

I have an HTC Desire with a Macbook computer. I use Salling Media Sync to sync photos and music to my device. I have enabled contact syncing with my Google account and my Mac address book and iCal. Everything has been working fine for the last two months, but when I changed Salling Media Sync from the free version to the paid version, my phone suddenly stopped syncing with my google account. On my account & sync settings both Background data and Auto-sync are checked on, but when I press sync all, nothing happens. Before I used to see two rounded arrows appear at the top of the screen to indicate the phone was syncing, but now nothing. Anyone have any idea hot to solve this issue.
