HTC Desire Overheating then very slow.. help?

I use my phone a lot on WiFi it does get rather hot if used for any length of time, amazes me how the processor stays as cool as it does, at a guess there would be a thermal cutout to stop it overheating but never leave it in the sun,
It will be interesting to see how the phone copes with the temperature in my part of the world most days it's 30C

I have restarted the phone countless times but its got this horrible lag when i slide from homescreen to homescreen and when i turn the phone off I the little circles stops and starts which nevr used to happen also when I turn the phone on its pretty much unrepsonsive I have to wait a few minuites for me to be able to do anything, Im thinking I should contact HTC?

Send it back it will be under warranty.

Edit:

Just seen your other post you never said you dropped it!

Hello, When I first bought my Desire a few days lator i dropped it in the car and made a really nasty sound as it hit :/, since then Iv noticed my phone slower than usual is this normal why does this happen also my phone reboots from time to time?

could be the processor has been damaged from overheating, do you have mobile phone insurance?

Yes I do have insurance, I think ill send it back to HTC they seem like nice people someone on another forum had the same type of issue and they gave him a new mainboard so worth a try :)
