<vol down> to next item
<power> to select item
Fastboot
Recovery
Clear storage
Simlock

thats all that is on the screen, theres 3 little green android men at the bottom of the screen. ive tried the volume up/down button to see if i can access any of the menu but it wont let me. i got this phone cheap in this state so want to sort it and use it..its unlocked..im new to this so any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I dont know much about it but....when you press the up/down volume button does the option that is highlighted change? if so select 'recovery' and then press the power button. what do u get?

sory just read it again and it sounds as if your volume button is not working or the volume down is stuck (hence the h-boot menu). Is what you described what appears if you just power on the deivce or are you holding any other buttons while turning it on?

I fear that Andy has hit the nail on the head. If the volume key is stuck it will take you to this screen, and not being able to select an item using the volume keys suggests that it is stuck.

hi thanks for replys,as soon as i turn it on it goes straight to the hboot screen,i cant use the volume up or down button to access the menu..also just to point out that when pressing the volume up or down button it seems to be pressing ok.

You could try holding the volume up as you turn it on, this may be its neutral position.

Try rocking it while its off (the volume button not the desire its self) to see if you can feel for a neutral position for the switch.

Other than that you may have to remove the switch all together and see if it works

yes tried removing the battery,im thinking of taking the housing of then putting it back together incase theirs something in or around the volume button housing..ill see what i can do..

By the sounds of it, it's the volume that's stuck, I've heard of this happening once or twice.
