HTC Desire S Wifi problem

gooders

Lurker
Hi,

My Desire S wont connect to my phillips router. It shows the network is there with a good signal. It shows it obtaining ip from the router then disconnects and keeps going round in circles. I have rebooted the router and made the network op but thats not sorted it.

My iphone connects easily to the router as does my two laptops.

Any ideas.

Your phone will have a Wi-Fi MAC address. You could try adding this to the list of MAC addresses your router will recognise. Settings > About phone > Hardware information > Wi-Fi MAC address. This has worked for some people experiencing similar connectivity issues to yours.

Check to see if you have the latest firmware for your router. If not, download it, reset the router and try your phone again.
