Help htc desire screen broken

Hello,

My HTC Desire screen has damaged and touch is not working However mobile is still working. It receives call, sms and doing everything but I cannot use touch screen. All the other buttons or things are also in order.
My question is,
Do I need to change the glass of the mobile or LCD screen?
Or if buy LCD screen still i will need to change glass or lcd screen comes with glass (screen).

What do I need to do?

I found this forum very helpful regarding such issues and hope that someone could help me to resolve this problem.

There are two parts.

1- The screen which shows you stuff

2 - the digitizer (glass) that interprets your touch.

Which is and is not working?
How did you damage?
What are the actual symptoms?

Not to make light of your situation, but by the time you determine which parts you need, order them, figure out how to install them & then (hopefully) fix your phone, you will have spent enough money and time -- your time is worth something -- to justify buying a new phone. That's what I'd recommend. The HTC Desire is now seriously out of date, and there are much nicer options available now.

It's not seriously out of date. It's still.a great phone. It's not so top spec'd any more but it still kicks add compared to many models. Parts are much cheaper than a new phone
