HTC Desire screen polish

Hi there, I'm new here, so I hope I'm posting here in the right section.
I've got my HTC Desire a while ago and I simply love it. I knew the android system was basicly the best on the market, but it still impressed me.

Anyway, I've got a tiny scratch in the corner, nothing serious, and I'd like to remove that. Now I'lm wondering: is it safe to use ordinary screen polish on the Desire its touch screen? Or should I just let it stay as it is now?

Touch screens work by interpreting electrical disturbances as actions.

The top layer is glass. Just glass. Immediately below is the digitiser membrane that interprets.
Then below that is the screen itself.

The glass and digitiser are essentially 1 piece. But the top layer us glass so it should be possible to buff out scratches.

I.have some that need to be removed too, but to be honest I to have concerns about doing it

Thank you, I think I'll let it stay for now and get a screen protector soon, so it won't scratch seriously.

I'd just leave it if I was you. Probably end up making it worse.

Polishing the digitizer screen can degrade touchscreen performance.


At least that's what I've heard.
