HTC Desire Screen Repair Guide

This written take apart repair guide displays the way to disassemble your HTC desire mobile phone quickly and safely. This guide will help you to repair your damaged or cracked outer touchscreen digitizer.

This guide will help you to install the following HTC Desire part(s):
  • HTC Desire Glass Touch Screen Digitizer Replacement

Tools Required:
  • Safe Open Pry Tool
  • Small Phillips Screwdriver
  • T5 Torx Screwdriver

HTC Desire Take apart guide:

  • First step is to remove the back cover of the phone with the use of safe pry opening tool. Then you can now remove the micro SD card and the battery.

Figure 1​
  • At figure 1, remove the two void stickers from the location A and B highlighted with cyan color.
  • At location 1, 2 and 3, unscrew the 3 screws located at figure 1 in orange circles.
  • Start prying at the back-bottom cover using safe pry tool. The cover is highlighted with gray color in the figure 1 and an orange arrow issues to a handy location to begin prying with.
  • Remove the back chassis including the battery compartment using safe pry tool.

Figure 2​
  • Remove extra screws at the locations indicated in figure 2 by way of small circles 1 and 2.
  • Start disconnection the antenna flag at location A from figure 2.
  • Slowly raise up the camera PCB then remove the

Thanks for the info I have been on to HTC support about the problem of overheating again the phone has had two motherboards already under warranty so there is an inherent fault with their boards.

I will keep on at them for they are expensive items and I would expect not just this phone but any phone to last longer than 3 years it is no good keep churning them out by the thousands and expecting people to keep on paying out to me this is totally unacceptable HTC waste of Space have managed to find a company that sell spares not sure if it is a genuine part or not but for just over
