As the title says really, I dropped my htc desire and cracked the screen (digitizer still fine) and I have replaced this with a screen I purchased from the internet.
It all went together fine but when I turn the phone on it vibrates and makes all the usual start up noises and charges fine but the screen stays black, it does not light up at all. Once started I can tell it is still working because the button lights go on and off when I lock and unlock the phone.
I have double checked the connectors and they all are connected fine and nothing else seems to be damaged.
Could this be another piece of hardware that is damaged or maybe even a software issue?
Any advice is welcome, thanks in advance.
