Help HTC Desire Texting Issue.

Hello.
I'm new to this Forum and i'm having quite an issue with texting on my 'HTC Desire'.

The Issue that i am having is quite annoying; i'm using the Text messaging application: 'GO! Sms'. And the problem is; I can text all of my other contacts in my contact book but i cannot text my Girlfriend. She simply does not receive the texts but she can send them to me and i can receive them. She is also on the same network as me and has a 'Samsung Galaxy Ace' She is also using 'GO! Sms' for texting aswell. For now we are having to chat over 'FaceBook' and is getting tediously annoying.

Basic form:
I can text other contacts but cannot text my Girlfriend, we are using the same text app, i can receive her texts but she cannot receive mine.

Solution's i have tried:

-Failing a connection to another network [Connection to O2, says "Cannot connect" Then going back onto 3 and connecting.

-Deleting the entire text thread (This worked...Once, i had 5000 texts lol)

*Ive noticed now and then, i can text her and she recieves it, so i don't know what the hell is going on*

Have you tried texting from the default message app, or another 3rd party app such as Handcent or Chomp? That would tell us whether it is a messaging problem generally or a problem with GoSMS specifically.

Otherwise, if it's a problem with a specific contact I'd look at the details of that contact, to see if there's anything different about that one (e.g. any typo in the contact details).

After that, does texting to the same number work with the same SIM in a different phone? Just to be sure it isn't a network problem.

I have tried using the following text apps:
-Handscent.
-Default Texting.

I still get an issue with all of these, regarding Texting. But the weird thing is, i can text my other contacts but i cannot contact her, the number i am texting is correct, now and then a text goes through; Sometimes if i do the first solution as i listed above, it works. But as soon as i wake up in the morning, it's dead and dosen't work again.

Hope this helps. And Also, i haven't tried my SIM in another phone as of yet. I will try that in short.

What handset does your GF have?

It may be worth checking to see that she hasn't accidentally blocked your number in her text message settings. I have seen this happen before.

Like i said earlier; Some of the texts go through to 'Her' but other times they dont, she hasn't blocked my number because i can still ring her, i forgot to mention that although i can't text half the time, i can always ring. I'm really confused.

I must have missed that bit mate.

I do know that on some Samsung phones there is an option to block text messages by number even though calls can still be received.

The only other thing I can suggest you do is to delete your GF's number completely and then re-enter it, just to see if it's a number format problem.

Hi, I've recently had my phone repaired (was on a roof and I dropped it like 4ft and the screen smashed)

Anyway. I've had a replacement phone, I had to add all my numbers back onto my phone, typing in my GF's.etc. Texting worked for about a week and then it messed up again today. I have a suspicious feeling it may be down to my network or my GF's Samsung Galaxy Ace. I've also found out that my Brother who also has an Android Phone, has the same issue with texting to one of his mates.

Also! I can Receive my GF's texts but she didn't get a single one of mine.
