Help HTC Desire Unlocking

Hi,

I've tried to unclock my HTC desire HD using an unlock code. I've got the code, put a Vodafone sim card in (it is currently on 3 Newtwork) and resarted the phone.

BUT, I dont get prompted to enter the network unlock code? any ideas? The phone loads with the Vodafone sim card but i dnt recive any signal, i have also tried a orange sim card which dose the same, again I dont get any prompt to enter a unlocking code but loads with no signal.

Anyone know why?

(This is a HTD Desire HD by the way)

Thanks Matt

I bought it off a site that i normally use when i've unlocked other phones. The codes are fine and i've never had any problems using them coz they have always worked..... But in this instance, I didn't even get a chance to enter the code, the phone just loads normal as if it already accepts the sim card but then i don't get any signal..

I must have misubderstood as, having re-read your first post, it sounds like the phone may not be network locked (as it seems to start up with other sim cards in it).

I am unsure why you cannot get any signal with other networks though... When the phone starts up, does it have a 3 logo splash screen?

No it dosn't which made me think that the phone was already unlocked.... but i get no signal.

What is strange though, I get no signal using Vodafone or Orange sim cards but i get full signal when using a Tesco Mobile sim card. Are Tesco partnered with 3 network?

The other sim cards all work in diffrent phones so nothing wrong with the sim cards.

I'm not sure if Tesco are linked with Three... it is a little strange that the others don't work in it though.

I'm in work at the moment, but will have a look to see if I can't find you some more info when I finish!

What's your software version in Settings -> About Phone?

Also, if you head to Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Network Operators -> Select Automatically, does that make a difference?

Thanks for help, working now.

Don't know what was wrong, just started working after about a day.... Might have taken a while to register on new network, I don't know
