HTC Desire - video

[Kevbo22]

Hello all

Quick and rather random question, do you know whether the HTC Desire has the equipment built in to record in 720p?

I heard a rumour that an HTC update will enable the Desire to record and playback in Hi Def. Anyone else heard this?

Thanks guys and gals.

Yeh apparently the hardware (camera) is up to the job but the software isn't as yet, I know I'm hoping it will surface in the near future, this phone is full of easter eggs.

I asked HTC about it and the guy told me the following:

"At this point we have information regarding this update and I would consider it a rumor right now."

I think he meant to say we have 'no information regarding this update'

Just a random customer service guy, so I don't know. There does seem to be conflicting information out there as to whether the desire will be recording in 720p or simply given the ability to play 720p content. But apparently the processor is capable of both encoding and decoding at this resolution...
