Help HTC Desire - WiFi Help

Hi guys

Trying to connect via WiFi to our router but keep having the following issue where the phone will go through the 4 steps below and keep looping until it reports "Failed connection, tap to retry" (words to that effect).

1) Scanning
2) Connecting
3) Authenticating with <NetworkName>
4) Disconnecting

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem before, mainly the authentication with the network as that seems to be the problem stopping the phone from moving on and connecting.
Using WPA2-PSK security and the WiFi password entered is correct.

Also, the phone connects via WiFi perfectly when the router has no security set. Router model is a Belkin F5D8633.

Hi Don't mean to hijack this question but I have almost the same issue and have been searching the internet for ages to get an answer. I found quite a few issues regarding Wifi but no answer yet.

I have the same symptoms other than i haven't tried it without security, and don't get any failed note - it just keeps going through the 4 stages said above.
I'm running a BT Hub version 2.0
To note my nokia N97mini works fine.

Any help would be appreciated from someone who knows

I have now sorted mine after another Google search. Have altered my router from automatically finding/changing the Wi-Fi channel to a static one on manual. Was channel 1 now is channel 6.

Hope this is of us to anyone.

dude..if you dot mind can u explain clearly.. those r the changes to be made in Desire or in router???
