Hi there. I've read lots of posts about this, but can't get it sorted. I've downloaded the latest version of HTC Sync and it works fine with my Desire S. However, I've tried to connect my daughter's Desire, and get the error on the phone which says it can't find HTC Sync on the PC.
I've installed Sync on my daughter's PC account too, in case there was a conflict, with no luck. I've checked I've got USB debugging on, I've tried turning my firewall off (AVG). I've checked the Android version on the phone is up to date. I've reinstalled HTC Sync to ensure it's the latest version.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I didn't even really want to back up her stuff, it's just that she's run out of memory (another common issue I've discoverd), so I thought I'd start with a backup and take it from there.
