HTC devices official FroYo update second half 2010!

ahh unlucky mate, well buy one off online or something.. ebay :D rather than getting something lower. up to you though mate

I think the Incredible may be a step up from the Desire, which is a really great phone, but does not include the 8mp camera & 8gb of internal storage plus VZW's amazing network.

Ghotiphish3 - I would say sell your Eris(VZW does not seem to care about it anymore) and get the Inc, it is the best phone I've had and I've had every smartphone on VZW(excepts blackberries). You will not be dissapointed.

Hi all

I got a software update today. It looked liek it was the 2.2 (froyo) update. It took a long time to download and install. The firmware number matched a number I was shown (as froyo), yet there seems to be no change on my phone, no additional menus, no move app tp sd card... did anyone else get an update like this (it was about 27MB)

Firmware 2.1 -update1 (which is eclaire I think)
Software 1.21.405.2

The following was on the HTC website. I don't think it is Froyo as that is 2.2. Still unable to get it on my Desire as I've been checking.

"Update

I just read that 2.2 is even heavier on the battery. As my Desire only lasts a day or so anyway on a charge, that's disappointing news...

aah.. I've 2.2 installed on my N1 (leaked version). I didn't find it heavy on battery. It's running smooth without eating much battery. what made you think that?

+1
i noticed better battery life as soon as i installed it on my N1, too

And what about the htc mt3g?

mt3g is going to get froyo afaik. i have read on many websites about it.
the thing i am not understanding is why the hell HTC is not willing to upgrade LEgend if they are willing to update mt3g. both have same specs.

Because they are too busy selling/creating/leaking the next device in line already.
It happened with the Hero, and it'll happen with the Desire.

HTC Aria anyone?
