Help HTC DHD Camera problem

i bought this phone a month ago it was working fine since then until recently when i turn on the camera app the camera just started to click and snap automatically though nothing is registered into the memory.

and the clicking sound is really loud. and before i can press menu or other things it just snaps again and return back to the camera screen.

I'd take that back into the shop, it looks knackered.

Does it do the same with a 3rd Party camera app? Camera 360 etc?

not all the time. it clicks like that as well even when im on camera fx. or retro camera. i left it for a while and checked it again its functioning fine again and 5 minutes later the click problem came back.

I have the exact same problem. Just started doing it yesterday. Not sure what to do.

I'm having the same issue, but only in the HTC camera app and Google Goggles. Retro Camera and FxCamera work fine. Just started yesterday, and phone is brand new.

Hi guys,

Just out of interest, do you have the camera set to face recognition? I know when I first got my phone it was snapping pics of everything because I had face recognition on (where it automatically takes a pic once it detects a face).

Hoping it's a simple fix like that.
