Help HTC Droid Incredible 2 Help

How do I get my phone to vibrate for texts? I have tried changing the settings under messages so vibrate has a green check next to it under recieved messages.

Also, I tried connecting my phone to my laptop so I could get internet access on my laptopand it asked me to insert a disk (never recieved a disk), how I do configure this? Thanks!!

In Settings -> Sound is the "Vibrate" option checked?

Also, have you installed HTC Sync on your laptop? It should be on the SD Card or you can download it via HTC's website.

If nothing else, what are some good texting apps. I tried Handcent and I liked it other than the fact that when I receive a message they pop up. Also FYI, the vibrate mode worked with Handcent so I think my problem is something I accidently switched because when I receive message, there use to be a "1" or "2" (depending on amount unread messages" on the Message icon but that does not appear anymore either. I really like the simplicity of the stock comparedto HandcentThanks!
